Nuremberg Castle is a listed Bavarian architectural monument, and a visit is made up of separate parts: the Palas with its Double Chapel, the Kaiserburg Museum, a demonstration of the Deep Well and the Sinwell Tower, which can be bought individually or together on a combination ticket. The museum has an audio guide in English and several other languages. Outside, the Castle Gardens and the Maria Sibylla Merian Garden cost nothing to enter, a free outdoor stop between the paid parts. The catch is the season: both gardens close for the winter, and even in summer the Merian Garden opens only on Sunday and Monday afternoons, so a winter visit is an indoor castle day.
