Zoológico de Brasília is the capital’s zoo, and its prices follow the week: midweek entry is kept low for everyone, Friday and Saturday cost a little more, and Sundays and public holidays are free. The youngest children get in free on any day, and older children pay half price. Food is handled inside the park. Two snack bars serve set meals as well as quick snacks and sweets, and popcorn, churros and hot dog stalls are spread around the grounds, so lunch can be eaten on site. Cash, PIX and cards are all accepted. The one thing to plan around is the ticket office: it stops selling an hour before the zoo closes, so an afternoon visit has to start in good time.
