The Ozeaneum is a public aquarium and natural history museum in Stralsund. It opened to the public in 2008, in a building by Behnisch Architekten. It is open every day, with longer hours in July and August than in the rest of the year, and it stays open through school holidays and public holidays apart from two dates around Christmas and New Year.
Online tickets are booked for a set time slot, and those slots can sell out. The aquarium does not say whether tickets bought at the desk are also timed. For summer, the aquarium itself suggests coming in the afternoon, since it stays open into the evening then. The ticket desk closes an hour before the building does. That rule is stated for the September to June hours and is not repeated for summer.
If you also plan to visit the Meeresmuseum and the Natureum, one combi ticket covers a single visit to each of the three sites and stays valid for three months.
