OUR FAMILY ASSESSMENT

Family Intelligence

The park has kept foxes since it opened in 1990, and it sits in two categories at once: zoo and theme park. A day here is built around animals, which rewards a child who will stand and watch, and tests one who would rather be doing something. Worth deciding which of yours you have before you set out.

Why kids will love it

Young children get in free, and the village stays open in the rain. Plan the adults around the children, though: every child of elementary-school age or younger needs their own accompanying adult, so one parent alone with two young children will not be let in. Light meals are only served during Golden Week and the Obon holiday.
