Marineland of Florida is a marine mammal park listed on the National Register of Historic Places, today run as Marineland Dolphin Adventure. A general admission ticket gets you into the daily presentations and guided tours around the park, and lets you watch the dolphin interactive programs from across the lagoon.
That is also the trade-off to know before you go: with a standard ticket, the dolphins are something you watch from the other side of the water. Getting closer means booking one of the paid animal interactive programs, which include general admission in their price, and the fullest of them, Trainer for a Day, is open to older children only.
Programs go ahead in rain as well as sunshine. Snacks and drinks are sold in the gift shop and a food truck parks on the property, and you may also bring your own food and drink to eat in the designated areas, though drinking straws are not allowed anywhere on site.
