OUR FAMILY ASSESSMENT

Family Intelligence

Budapest Zoo is both a zoo and a botanical garden, founded in 1866, and several of its buildings are in the Art Nouveau style, so the architecture is part of the walk between enclosures. Buying tickets online lets you go straight in without queuing at the gate, which is worth doing with children who have little patience for a line before the animals even start.

Why kids will love it

Animals and plants share one ticket, and the Art Nouveau buildings give older children something to look at besides the enclosures. The trade-off right now: the seal training sessions and all ‘Animals in action’ programmes are cancelled until further notice, so do not build the day around a keeper demonstration.
