The U.S. Space & Rocket Center has been open to the public since 1970. General admission covers the Saturn V Hall, Rocket Park, Shuttle Park, Military Park, Moon Crater, the Spark!Lab and ISS: Science on Orbit, plus whichever featured exhibits are running, so you can plan the day without paying extra for each area.
The outdoor simulators are the part of the day that depends on the weather: they only run within a set temperature range and when conditions allow. Every ticket sale is final, so a cold or stormy day won’t get you your money back, and it’s worth checking the forecast before you buy.
Strollers and wheelchairs can be borrowed free for the day at the ticket desk if you leave a driver’s license or photo ID, and the Galaxy Grill serves food on site during spring and summer.
